Will Big Chungus be the next MultiVersus character to be revealed?

Reports claim that Big Chungus will potentially join the MultiVersus roster of characters.
Here is everything you need to know.
Will Big Chungus be the new MultiVersus character?
According to recent news, a free to play (F2P) fighting game, MultiVersus could add a new playable character, Big Chungus to its roster.
The rumor comes after a screenshot surfaced online showing a trademark filing.
On August 26, Warner Bros. reportedly filed with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) a trademark for Big Chungus.
The legal documents further state that the Big Chungus trademark will be applied in every conceivable medium. It includes audiovisual media, clothing, toys, entertainment services, literature, and amusement parks, among many others.
Additionally, the trademark allows Warner Bros. to use the character for a variety of merchandise. However, it is speculated that the studio will feature him as a fighter in MultiVersus.
Also, since it is a live streaming game, a multitude of content will eventually be added to it. Additionally, Big Chungus’ fame currently outstrips the popularity of non-meme WB characters.
Meanwhile, it is undecided if the rotund rabbit is yet another cosmetic for Bugs Bunny or is a new character. However, the speculation has sparked a heated debate among fans and gamers on various social media platforms.
Also, even if Big Chungus is a new character, he won’t be added until later.
This is because Rick Sanchez, Stripe (Gremlins) and Black Adam will be featured in the first season. Therefore, Big Chungus will most likely not make his debut until the second season of the game.
Who is Big Chungus?
Big Chungus was already an existing character as of December 20, 1941.
Also, his first appearance was in a Looney Tunes cartoon short titled ‘Wabbit Twouble’. During the clip, Bugs Bunny puffs himself up to taunt Elmer Fudd, marking Big Chungus’ debut appearance.
Regardless, he didn’t become a recognized figure until 77 years later, in 2018, when he came back to life. He became popular after appearing in the form of a meme.
Meanwhile, a Reddit user shared an image of a fake PS4 game case that featured an image of Bugs Bunny stretched out to taunt Elmer Fudd. The social media user captioned the post ‘Big Chungus’.
