Jonathan Owens, born July 22, 1995, is an American football safety for the Houston Texans of the National Football League (NFL). He was born in Saint Louis, Missouri, and did his graduation in Missouri only. He played for the ARIZONA CARDINALS (2018-2019) and then the HOUSTON TEXANS (2019-PRESENT). As of now, he has played only 1 cap.

Early life

Owens was a high school football player and won the CBC Linebacker of the Year award. In Missouri, he played many NFL scrimmages.

Owens signed up for the Arizona Cardinals NFL Draft but never got a chance to play for the team as he sat on the bench for most of the season and as the season was drawing to a close he was injured due to that he couldn’t touch for a long time.

On August 31, 2019, the Arizona Cardinals waived Owens.

Owens signed up for the Houston Texans’ practice squad. He was then selected to the active roster on November 21, 2019. He played all 6 games for the team against the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans.

He is now on the active roster and continually plays for the team.
