What happened to Frank Fritz? ‘American Pickers’ star hospitalized after suffering stroke

American Pickers alum Frank Fritz was rushed to a hospital after suffering a stroke.
Here is everything you need to know.
Frank Fritz suffers a stroke
Former Frank Fritz co-star Mike Wolfe broke the devastating news on Instagram last week.
Wolfe further shared a heartfelt message while posting a smiling photo of Fritz.
It began with: ‘I’ve been very secretive over the last year about Frank’s life and the journey he’s been on. There have been many opinions regarding mine and Frank’s friendship and the show, but now is not the time to set the record straight. Now is the time to pray for my friend.
Wolfe then added: ‘Frank had a stroke and is in hospital. Please keep him in your hearts and thoughts.’
He concluded the sentimental caption by saying: ‘Frank, I pray more than anything that you get through this okay. I love you friend.’
Frank Fritz and Mike Wolfe’s relationship
Frank Fritz and Mike Wolfe shared the television screen on the History Channel reality series American Pickers, which premiered in 2010.
The show followed the duo as they traveled across the country and “make a living restoring forgotten heirlooms to their former glory, transforming one person’s trash into another’s treasure.”
However, fans were shocked when Fritz announced his departure from the popular series last July. It was later reported that he was fired due to various health problems, including back surgery.
Both Fritz and Wolfe have been candid about the ups and downs of their friendship.
Fritz mentioned in an interview: ‘I haven’t talked to Mike in two years. I knew my back was bad, but he didn’t call me to ask how he was. That’s how it is.’
Wolfe, on the other hand, claimed that he will miss Fritz while speaking to People magazine.
He said, ‘I’ve known Frank for as long as I can remember, he’s been like a brother to me.’
The 58-year-old actor continued: “I will miss Frank, as will all of you, and I pray for the best and all good things for him on the next part of his journey.”
However, Fritz contradicted his message by saying: ‘Mike’s statement was bullshit, someone wrote it for him.’ We were never friends in elementary school. I don’t think in ten years he’s said five nice things to me, you know?
