Wendy Williams allegedly checked into a wellness center after her health and substance abuse issues worsened.

Here is everything you need to know.

Wendy Williams is back in rehab

Wendy Williams reportedly returned to rehab after her fallout with production company Debmar-Mercury.

However, recently a source reported: “It’s gotten worse,” referring to the 58-year-old TV host’s alleged addiction problems.

They continued: “He went from wine to straight vodka.”

However, Williams’ publicist, Shawn Zanotti, confirmed the news Wednesday during an interview with E! News.

She revealed in a statement that Williams checked into “a wellness center for help managing her general health issues.”

Additionally, Zanotti added, “She is taking some time to focus on her health and wellness as she prepares for a big comeback to the next level in her career with ‘The Wendy Experience Podcast.'”

She mentioned: ‘She can’t stop drinking and she needs to stop drinking. She is only making her health worse.

Furthermore, the TV personality’s publicist further noted: ‘Ms Williams is being treated by a team of some of the best doctors in the world.

Zanotti concluded by asking fans for “prayers and well wishes during this time.”

What happened between Wendy Williams and Debmar-Mercury?

Wendy Williams’ alleged move came after Debmar-Mercury reportedly “refused” to get her the help she needed to overcome her addiction issues.

If you didn’t know, Debmar-Mercury is the production company that produced Williams’ iconic daytime talk show ‘The Wendy Williams Show.’

A source later reported: ‘They turned their backs on him.’

Furthermore, they claimed that Debmar-Mercury “had too much control over someone so vulnerable.”

Additionally, Williams’ ex-husband, Kevin Hunter, had made similar claims during an interview last July.

He said: ‘Debmar would not support Wendy’s recovery efforts with the family.’

He further added: “They wouldn’t approve of anything that would have helped their recovery efforts.”

Meanwhile, Hunter also recalled the time Williams’ family met with the production company to discuss his struggles with drinking. However, instead of helping her, Debmar-Mercury supposedly gave her an ultimatum.

He revealed: “They sat in a meeting with her entire family, including her now deceased mother, and did not approve of recovery efforts that would have helped Wendy get back on her feet, live and sober.”

Hunter continued, “They basically said, ‘If you don’t stop drinking, you’re going to lose the show.'”
