Dan B. Harris, who works as an anchor and has served multiple shows on ABC News over the past two decades and has hosted “Good Morning America,” will now be leaving the anchor set and ABC News.
He announced that he will be leaving in the next two months, he told fans of his Sunday broadcast. ABC News is backed by Disney, many people are demanding that it continue Ten Percent Happier, a business-related media coverage show. It was difficult for him to juggle work-life balance and now he is very focused on having time for his family.
Kim Godwin, president of ABC News, and Peter Rice, president of general entertainment for Walt Disney Co., have decided that Dan Harris can terminate his contract early. Previously, Harris walked away from ABC News’ “Nightline,” giving the same work-life balance reason.
