Tyrese Gibson will pay $10K every month in child support

Tyrese Gibson was ordered to pay $10,690 a month in child support during a proceeding Tuesday. It was held before Superior Court Judge Kevin M. Farmer in Fulton County, Georgia.

According to a TMZ article, Gibson is officially single after the judge granted his ex-wife, Samantha Lee Gibson’s, divorce petition.

Also, Tyrese and Samantha are parents to a three-year-old girl, Soraya.

Samantha had initially asked for $209,000 in child support when she first filed for divorce in September 2020.

However, the judge reduced it by $46,000 on the grounds that Tyrese has been paying for Samantha’s car for two years. Therefore, Tyrese now owes her a lump sum of $169,000.

Additionally, Tyrese requested joint physical and legal custody of Soraya during Monday’s first hearing.

The 43-year-old actor said he didn’t want to pay $20,000 a month in child support, calling it “unreasonably high.” He also asked to have the last word on Soraya’s non-medical emergencies.

Tyrese has further claimed that Samantha is flamboyant. The star’s attorney revealed Samantha’s cosmetic expenses two years ago, which were approximately $1,740.

They suggested that the child support money would actually pay for Samantha’s lifestyle.

Tyrese’s lawyer, Tanya Mitchell Graham, said: “She asked for a large sum of money for child support, but she is spending a lot of money on cosmetics.” Is she asking for money for the child or asking for money for herself?
