Travis Scott performs at the Billboard Music Awards months after the Astroworld tragedy

Rapper Travis Scott has made an official comeback at the Billboard Music Awards.
The rapper sang his hits at the award ceremony. He also treated fans of his by performing an unreleased song that will probably be included in his next album.

Travis Scott performed his songs on Sunday at the Billboard Music Award.
His appearance on Billboard this year marked his first performance on a televised award show after the Astroworld festival tragedy last November.
The artist sang his songs Mafia and Lost Forever against a frozen landscape as a backdrop. She sported a fuzzy-looking outfit for her performance, while her backup dancers also wore something similar.

The rapper performed his song Mafia to a woman wearing a white bikini with a fur coat.
The stage changed to a black and white set for Scott’s performance of Lost Forever. The star did not address the tragedy on stage, but pushed the camera away to look at the roaring crowd at the end of her performance.
The ceremony was hosted by Sean “Diddy” Combs and French Montana.
According to an Instagram post shared by Diddy on Monday, he confesses that he got the job for Scott.
On the Billboard red carpet, the rapper was joined by his on-and-off girlfriend Kylie Jenner and their 4-year-old daughter Stormi. The couple once again became parents this time to a baby boy in February.
Meanwhile, Morgan Wallen also appeared for the first time after receiving backlash for a clip showing him yelling the N-word that went viral in 2021.

Astroworld music festival tragedy
During Travis Scott’s set at the Astroworld Festival in Houston, a mob broke out that reportedly left ten dead and hundreds injured.
While some attendees claim that Scott continued to perform despite the audience shouting warnings. On the other hand, the rapper maintains that he could not hear any screams.
Scott has kept a relatively low profile after the Astroworld tragedy. In addition, he has offered to pay the funeral expenses of the victims.

Regardless, Scott was canceled from multiple concert appearances. He was also fired from his frequent collaboration with luxury brand Dior.
The rapper is set to release his long-delayed album titled ‘Utopia’ in the coming weeks.
This will be Scott’s fourth studio album, preceded by studio albums Rodeo (2015), Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight (2016), and Astroworld (2018). The singer also released a compilation album called Jackboys in 2019.
