Authorities have announced that the vehicle found by YouTubers Adventures With Purpose contained the body of missing teenager Kiely Rodni.

The police have confirmed that the body of Kiely Rodni was located in a reservoir

Nevada County Police recently released a statement regarding the disappearance of California teenager Kiely Rodni.

They confirmed that Rodni’s body was recovered from the submerged car in Prosser Lake over the weekend.

The Placer County Sheriff’s Office took to Facebook to update people on the case.

They wrote: “The Nevada County Sheriff’s Office has identified the deceased as Kiely Rodni, age 16, of Truckee.”

They further added: ‘The Placer County Sheriff’s Office and the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office are in communication with Kiely’s family. We offer our deepest condolences during this extremely difficult time.”

The announcement comes after specialist dive team Adventures With Purpose discovered a sunken vehicle in the Prosser Creek Reservoir near Truckee.

The volunteer group is a popular search and rescue dive team that helps families locate their missing loved ones.

Nevada County Sheriff’s Capt. Sam Brown said the car flipped over and was nearly 14 feet below the surface of the lake.

He also added that police had previously searched the reservoir and gave more than ‘15,000 man-hours’ to the investigation.

Kiely Rodni apparently disappeared from a camp party in Prosser about three weeks ago, on August 16. The party was held to celebrate high school graduation and included more than 100 guests.

Rodni last texted his mother around 12:30 am informing her that he was returning home to Truckee.

Meanwhile, Rodni’s family released a statement Monday to thank everyone for their support during the search.

They shared, “We have weathered a storm of unfathomable strength, and it is purely thanks to the army of warriors, matriarchs, healers, and helpers who sustain us that we are still standing today.”

The statement further mentioned, “While we accept this sadness cast under the shadow of death, the rising sun shines down on us, reminding us not to mourn our loss, but to celebrate the spirit of Kiely and the gift we all receive in meeting her.” Kiely will surely stay with us even if we don’t get her back.

However, the sheriff’s office has not yet revealed the reason for Rodni’s death. They have stated that the investigation is still ongoing.
