We made The Empress start its story with the first season only this September 29th. So, with the first season recently wrapped. We know that Netflix will try to see the ratings of the series first. Since only then can they give the green light to a second season.

So, first expect season 1 to have satisfactory ratings. As this is the first season of the series and it is brand new even for Netflix at the moment. However, so far we have seen such dramas do well on Netflix. So looking at that aspect, we expect a green signal for a second season in the next couple of months.
