As reported by Paramount+, the season 3 debut will make a big appearance on Thursday, August 25, 2022. So new episodes will be available to stream on the streaming service every Thursday, running for another 10 full episodes. Star Trek: Lower Decks Season 3 will be available to subscribers of the Paramount+ streaming service, which becomes the one-stop resource for all things ‘Trek’ related.

Star Trek: Lower Decks New Poster
Along with the release date, Paramount+ also revealed a new poster for the third season that includes a striking image of Ensign Rutherford’s head shining blue and pink light across the galaxy. Below Rutherford is our noisy group of lower floors with Beckett Mariner at the front, flanked by Ensign Tendi and Brad Boimler.
Above all, the USS Cerritos gives the impression of colliding with a Klingon bird of prey. The new poster gives off the energy of Star Trek: The Next Generation mixed with a dash of Star Trek: The Motion Picture. The composition of the poster dates back to that first original film, while Rutherford’s image resembles the TNG episode ‘The Nth Degree’, where Reginald Barclay connects with the PC. This could show that something is up with Rutherford’s cybernetic embedding, who is now second to him, having lost a large part of his memories.

What is the animated series about?
Star Trek: Lower Decks is an irreverent and entertaining experience in the Star Trek universe, allowing fans to investigate this tremendous establishment through the often-overlooked lens of humor. While the amazing live-action spectacles take us on wild space adventures through the eyes of the bridge crew, Lower Decks takes us straight to the bottom of the leadership tiers, giving us the witty antics only seen by ensigns and the cadets. Beckett, Boimler, Tendi and Rutherford are sure to smile as they deal with each of the difficulties that come with the ‘lower floors’.
