Sherri Shepherd poster replaces Wendy Williams billboard ahead of new show premiere
Sherri Shepherd’s face is now all over the place where the Wendy Williams sign used to be.
Here is everything you need to know.
The Wendy Williams billboard was replaced by the Sherri Shepherd billboard
Sherri Shepherd is gearing up to launch her new daytime talk show and her promotions have already kicked off.
Most recently, a huge poster of Shepherd’s face was put up just outside Chelsea Studios in New York City on Thursday. It replaced the spot where the Wendy Williams billboard once stood.
However, fans were also quick to point out that Shepherd will be filming her next show in the exact studio where Williams filmed her famous The Wendy Williams Show.
Additionally, the production team informed TMZ that the studio redesign is going pretty well. They also revealed that the set will be repainted in bright and cheerful colors. It will reflect the personality of the 55-year-old comedian.
The hues are reportedly light blue and yellow, which are quite similar to the new Shepherd poster.
Plus, insiders say Shepherd’s latest adventure is supposedly booked until the fall. They mentioned that Shepherd will most likely invite some of his famous celebrity friends during the show’s opening week.
Wendy Williams Is Not For Sale On Sherri Shepherd’s New Show
Wendy Williams revealed that she will not be watching Sherri Shepherd’s upcoming show while speaking with Fat Joe during an interview on May 6, 2022.
The 58-year-old host shared, “I won’t watch her because I know what she’s going to do and that’s not my thing.” You know? You know what I’m talking?’
He quickly moved on to directing the subject at her and said, ‘But I love it, I love being on my show. And I love that people like to watch it, you know, all the time.
Williams had been absent from The Wendy Williams Show indefinitely since October 2021 due to medical issues.
Regardless, the syndicated daytime talk show premiered with guest hosts including Leah Remini, Michelle Visage, Whitney Cummings, and Shepherd.
However, earlier this year it was announced that Shepherd would be getting her own new talk show titled ‘Sherri’.
The show will replace Williams’ iconic series and will hit TV screens on September 12, 2022.
Meanwhile, Williams is set to launch her own podcast called ‘The Wendy Experience’.
