Roy Wood Jr could replace Trevor Noah after his departure from The Daily Show

Roy Wood Jr. could take over as the next on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show after Trevor Noah announced his departure almost seven years into his tenure.
Here is everything you need to know.
Roy Wood Jr. could be the new presenter of The Daily Show
According to multiple sources, Comedy Central executives are considering Roy Wood Jr. to host The Daily Show.
If you didn’t know, Roy joined the series in 2015 and over time has become one of the most recognizable faces of the show in the industry. He is also considered one of the network’s top correspondents.
Therefore, Comedy Central officials insist that Roy is a perfect fit to be promoted to host of the series.
Additionally, insiders have told TMZ that Roy’s contract with the network is coming to an end soon. Executives subsequently worry that he too will be leaving the network due to the demand for him on the stand-up circuit.
They believe that promoting Roy to an anchor position is the best way to keep him connected to the broadcast channel.
Roy, on the other hand, is gaining more fame with his recent works like Confess, Fletch.
