Hulu and Fox released a documentary titled ‘TMZ Investigates: What Really Happened to Richard Simmons’ on August 22.

The film focuses on Simmons’ rise to fame as a fitness guru along with the various theories behind his sudden disappearance from the spotlight.

Regardless, the film received a good reception from fans and viewers. Hence, Simmons himself wrote a message showing his affection and gratitude for the support he is receiving. He shared the post on his Facebook account on August 24.

The statement read: ‘Thank you all for your kindness and love!’

He said goodbye saying: ‘With love, Richard’.

Additionally, Simmons’ manager, Michael Catalano, revealed the authenticity of the message during an interview with People magazine on Friday.

He said: ‘This was a personal post from Richard. He was touched by the reaction to the special and all the well wishes he received. He encouraged her kindness.

Additionally, a representative for Simmons revealed to E! News that the fitness icon is very pleased by the outpouring of love and well wishes from her fans. He wants you to know he’s doing well and sends you all the best wishes from him.”
