In the clip, Nichols is seen complaining about his colleague, Maria Taylor. She expressed her disappointment in a role that was guaranteed to Nichols but later awarded to Taylor.
Additionally, the video started internal complaints and division within ESPN. Eventually, the sports media giant fired both Nichols and Taylor and ended up canceling the former’s daily basketball show, The Jump.
However, Nichols publicly apologized to Taylor for her comments.
