Michael Rosenbaum confirms Martinex’s return in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3

It looks like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is bringing back Stakar’s group. Michael Rosenbaum has confirmed his return to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. The Smallville alum made his MCU debut in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 as the character Martinex T’Naga, a member of the Ravagers who works with Stakar. Sylvester Stallone’s Ogord. Just as the two learn that Michael Rooker’s Yondu sacrificed himself to save Chris Pratt’s character in the film Peter Quill, they reunite with their former colleagues, Ving Rhames’ Charlie-27, Michelle Yeoh’s Aleta Ogord and Mainframe of Miley Cyrus, to remake her group
Less than a month after the first footage was screened at San Diego Comic-Con, Michael Rosenbaum took to Twitter to confirm his Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 return. Michael Rosenbaum confirms his return in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
There is little uncertainty that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will bring back a large chunk of the characters we previously knew and cherished in the establishment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Interestingly, it looks like the sequel will also bring back certain characters that we currently can’t seem to study further. Michael Rosenbaum has confirmed that Martinex will be returning in the third Guardians movie, and that means Stakar Ogord’s crew will be taking on a major role in the film!
Martinex was officially introduced in the movie Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 alongside Sylvester Stallone’s Stakar Ogord. One of the mid-credits scenes even showed the two meeting up with their former Ravager bandmates, sparking speculation that the reunion will feature in the next film. guardians of the galaxy vol. 3 is being directed by James Gunn. The film will open in auditoriums/theaters on May 5, 2023.
Considering the Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3 trailers haven’t been released publicly by either Marvel or Gunn, with the latter referring to work progress on enhanced visuals as the explanation, only people who saw the footage at SDCC would know for sure if Rosenbaum is to be sure to return for the sequel or not. While Marvel and Gunn haven’t confirmed Rosenbaum’s return, director James Gunn liked the artist’s social media post, possibly showing that the Smallville artist will reprise his role as Martinex in the upcoming sequel. Additionally, with Sylvester Stallone’s Stakar previously confirmed that he will return for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, the door appears to be open for Rosenbaum to appear in the film.
With Stallone and possibly now Rosenbaum confirmed to return for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, it will be fascinating to see if the other unique group of Guardians from the comics will show up in the movie. Given that the MCU’s third part is supposed to be the last part in James Gunn’s set of three, as well as Bautista and Pratt’s last appearance of Drax showing no official plans for his return, Rosenbaum and Stallone’s earnings could point towards theories that James Gunn’s group of Guardians meets their end in the next movie being valid.
