LOOK: Apple Vice President Tony Blevins is fired for a rude comment on TikTok

Tony Blevins, a top Apple executive, was fired after making a vulgar joke in a viral TikTok video.

Here is everything you need to know.

Apple VP leaves the company after making a vulgar comment

An Apple spokesperson recently confirmed that Apple Vice President Tony Blevins was dating.

The news comes after Blevins made an obscene comment when he was stopped by TikTok and Instagram creator Daniel Mac.

Mac approached Blevins as he parked a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren for his popular series asking luxury car owners what they do for a living.

The content creator asked: ‘Good sir, your car is amazing. What do you do for a living?’

Instead of saying he works at Apple, Blevins replies, “I race cars, play golf, and fondle big-breasted women.” But I take weekends and big holidays off.

Additionally, Blevins’ comments could be a reference to dialogue in the 1981 film Arthur. In the film, billionaire leading man Arthur Bach says a line about his career that reads, “I race cars, play tennis, and fondle women, but I have weekends off and I’m my own boss.

The video was reportedly shot during a car event in August. But Mac shared it on his social media accounts in early September. However, the clip has been liked by more than 40,000 users on Instagram.

Social Media Users React To Tony Blevins Sex Joke

Netizens expressed their disappointment after news broke that Tony Blevins was being fired for pulling a prank.

One user wrote: “Apparently this video was the reason Apple fired their VP of Acquisitions Tony Blevins.” It’s colorless, but it’s also a loose quote from a movie. Seems too ‘wokey-cokey’ to fire someone for this. It worries me because I’ve made stupid pranks like this before.

Additionally, another chimed in saying: ‘Firing Tony Blevins after 22 years for a joke in his spare time. To quote an old movie! Apple is really playing the “safe space game” woke up. Horrible!!’

A different user shared: “I love Apple products but I am so disappointed that the company fired Tony Blevins for quoting the movie Arthur outside of work.” A black eye for Apple.

Meanwhile, Blevins released an official statement for his prank.

He said: ‘I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely apologize to anyone who has been offended by my misguided attempt at humour.’
