Kendrick Lamar and Megan Thee Stallion have enlisted for the next season of SNL in October

Kendrick Lamar and Megan Thee Stallion have reportedly been announced as musical guests for the new season of SNL (Saturday Night Live). Season 48 of Saturday Night Live kicks off on October 1, and the season debut will be hosted by none other than Miles Teller and feature musical guest Kendrick Lamar. Next week, Willow will reportedly perform during an episode hosted by Brendan Gleeson. Then, at that time, on October 15, Megan Thee Stallion will pull double duty as host and musical guest. The new season of Saturday Night Live will include several personnel changes after the departure of actors Pete Davidson, Aidy Bryant, Chris Redd, Kate McKinnon, Kyle Mooney and more.

New SNL Season 48 cast members include Marcello Hernandez, Molly Kearney, Michael Longfellow and Devon Walker. Kendrick Lamar reportedly last appeared on SNL in 2018 when he did ‘Tints’ with Anderson.Paak. Prior to that, Kendrick Lamar performed on the show in November 2014, February 2014, and January 2013. Megan Thee Stallion reportedly made her SNL debut in October 2019 performing ‘Handsome’ with host Chance the Rapper. The following year, she was officially a musical guest and did ‘Savage’ and ‘Don’t Stop’. Kendrick Lamar recently released his most recent album, Mr. Morale & The Huge Steppers, in May and Megan Thee Stallion shared her new album, Traumazine, in August.

Saturday Night Live has reportedly announced its guest list for the first half of October, and the long-running comedy show is set to highlight some big names in hip-hop. Kendrick Lamar and Megan Thee Stallion are booked to perform. On Tuesday, September 20, SNL revealed the next list of special guest appearances for the next month. The show will kick off in October with Kendrick Lamar as the musical guest and entertainer Miles Teller as host on October 1. The October 8th episode will feature actor/film director Brendan Gleeson as host with Willow as the musical accompanist. Megan Thee Stallion will pull double duty on October 15 as host and musical guest.

Megan announced the upcoming appearance to her fans on Instagram, captioning a photo of the announcement, OCTOBER 15 YOU HOT GIRL COACH IS HOSTING AND PERFORMING AT SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE TUNE IN ALL Cuties. Megan Thee Stallion is reportedly about to release her sophomore album titled Traumazine, which debuted at number 4 on the Billboard 200 chart when it dropped a month ago. The album features guest appearances from Future, Pooh Shiesty, Latto, Rico Frightful and others. The LP marks the end of Megan Thee Stallion’s relationship with her previous record label, 1501 Guaranteed Ent., which has been the subject of much controversy. Kendrick Lamar remains at the center of his mammoth The Big Steppers Tour 2022 with Baby Keem and Tanna Leone, which is in promotion of his latest album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. The tour kicks off the European leg seven days after K-Dot’s appearance on SNL and will cover Europe and Australia for 27 shows.
