A meme of Joe Biden yelling the name of the late congresswoman, Jackie Walorski, is currently making the rounds on social media.

Biden delivered the keynote address at a health event in Washington on Wednesday.

He said, ‘I want to thank all of you here, including bipartisan elected officials like Rep. McGovern, Sen. Braun, Sen. Booker, Rep. – Jackie, are you here?’

He further continued: ‘Where’s Jackie? I thought he was going to be here, to help make this happen.

Walorski, a Republican representative from Indiana, was killed in a car accident on August 3 of this year. Two of his partners also died in the accident. Upon investigation, the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office concluded that Walorski’s vehicle was at fault in the collision.

Biden issued a statement, at the time of his death, stating that he and the First Lady were “shocked and saddened” by Walorski’s tragic death.

Meanwhile, during the briefing, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said it’s “not unusual” for people to say the names of deceased people when “they’re on their minds.”

She continued: ‘I don’t find that confusing.’

Also, Jean-Pierre mentioned, “I mean, I think a lot of people can talk sometimes when you have people on your mind, they’re first on your mind.”

Republicans and social media users react to Joe Biden’s mistake

Many social media users took to Twitter to share their reactions to Joe Biden’s mistake at the White House anti-hunger event. Some comments suggested that they found his comments quite disturbing.

One user wrote: ‘This will come back to haunt you.’

Also, another chimed in saying: ‘It’s getting worse and your handlers don’t care.’

Another user mentioned: ‘We are being ruled by a senile old man. God help us.’

Meanwhile, some Republicans have also voiced their views on the US president’s recent blunder. In addition, they demanded that Biden apologize to the family of Jackie Walorski.

Missouri Republican Party Rep. Vicky Hartzler said: ‘Truly a terrible and shameful mistake. Jackie was a selfless leader and a dear friend.’

She added: ‘Your family deserves better than this. Biden and the entire White House staff should apologize.”
