Is Cassadee Dunlap’s dad okay? Ronald Dunlap ‘critical’ after being shot several times

Cheer star Cassadee Dunlap’s father is in critical condition after being shot Saturday when he accidentally walked into the wrong apartment in Arkansas. The 49-year-old man entered the wrong apartment in a complex in Little Stone around 3 am and was subsequently shot by the owner, local channel KATV revealed. A Little Rock Police Division representative said Ronald Dunlap had been drinking with his nephew and a couple of companions before attempting to drive in his direction to loft 12D instead of his own condo 15C. Joshua Womack, the owner of apartment 12D, said he was reportedly asleep when he heard a knock. Womack, 23, said he “woke up and got his gun” and fired five or six rounds at Cassadee Dunlap’s father, Ron Dunlap.

Police reportedly found Ronald Dunlap face down outside Womack’s apartment and managed to deliver enough of a guide to transport him to a hospital where he is listed in critical condition. Ronald Dunlap’s daughter, Cassadee Dunlap, who appeared in the second season of the Netflix hit Cheer, has yet to give a statement. Cassadee Dunlap, a former Navarro cheerleader and star of Toddlers and Tiaras, now works as a part-time cheerleading mentor at the University of Arkansas. Little Rock police said the investigation is reportedly ongoing and no charges have been filed.

The father of cheerleading star Cassadee Dunlap is reportedly left fighting for his life after he was shot multiple times after he entered the wrong apartment in Little Rock, Arkansas. The OTT star has yet to openly comment on this incident, but ID testing has confirmed that he is, in fact, Dunlap’s father, Ronald Dunlap. The owner reportedly fired out of fear, leaving Ronald Dunlap in a precarious condition. Local television channel KATV reports that after Dunlap entered loft 12D, Joshua Womack’s place, and not 15C, Womack fired numerous rounds at the man. The incident occurred around 3:12 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, at Canopy Apartments.

Womack explained that he was sleeping soundly when he heard a knock on the door. He then he woke up, took his gun and fired five or six rounds at Dunlap. By the time police showed up, they found the person in question lying face down beyond Womack’s condominium. The 49-year-old man was saved one way or another by authorities at the scene and was later transported to Baptist Hospital where he lies in poor condition.

The reason Dunlap got the wrong apartment is that he was supposedly drunk. TMZ reports that a Little Rock police representative says Dunlap had been out to a bar or club with his nephew before returning home to find the wrong apartment. Dunlap’s brother David also recounts that he is fighting for his life and that a neighbor’s door was also banged on in this sad episode. As of this time, no charges have been filed. Dunlap was previously married to Alisha Miller Dunlap Hinson, who has worked on TLC Cheer Perfection. Cassadee Dunlap and Alisha also appeared on TLC Toddlers and Tiaras.
