Hank Williams Jr’s wife died of a collapsed lung after liposuction

Mary Jane Thomas, the wife of country music artist Hank Williams Jr, has passed away due to a collapsed lung just one day after cosmetic surgery.

Hank Williams Jr.’s wife’s cause of death revealed
A Florida coroner confirmed that Hank Williams Jr’s wife, Mary Jane Thomas, died of a collapsed lung following plastic surgery.
The Palm Beach County Medical Examiner has ruled Mary’s death an accident. They also revealed that she died after sustaining a fatal injury during the cosmetic procedure.
The Examiner mentioned that the former Hawaiian Tropic model, 58, underwent liposuction on her back, arms and stomach on March 21. They also shared that Mary had her breast implants removed.
Regardless, the next day her plastic surgeon found her unconscious in her hotel room at the Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa.
Dr. Harold Bafitis, who performed the plastic surgery, stated that Mary was responsive and sitting up straight on her bed when he went to a follow-up meeting with her.
However, Mary was rushed to a nearby local hospital. She traveled from Nashville to Jupiter, Florida for the cosmetic procedure.
Additionally, Mary was announced dead approximately one hour after losing consciousness.

Hank Williams Jr and Mary Jane Thomas first met at one of his concerts in 1985. Five years later they married in 1990.
The couple was the parents of two children, a daughter, Katherine Williams-Dunning, and a son, Samuel Williams.
Hank and Mary hit a rough patch in 2007 when they broke up. However, they found their way back and rekindled their relationship in 2011.
Mary is the country music star’s third wife. He was first married to Gwen Yeargain in 1971, but filed for divorce in 1977. They share a son named Hank Williams III.
Hank then married Becky White in 1977. However, they confirmed their separation in 1983. The former couple had two daughters, Holly and Hilary Williams. Both are pursuing a career in the music industry.
Hank and Mary were also grandparents to their late daughter, Katie’s sons Beau Weston Dunnings and Audrey Jane Dunnings, and Sam’s son named Tennyson.
Katie died in a car accident in Tennessee in 2020 after losing control of the truck she was driving.
Sam said in a YouTube video after his sister’s death: “I have worked my heart out to quit since my dear Katie went Home.” I do not deserve this. This is a scary step, but I don’t see what else to do here.
