Eminem’s manager feared the rapper suffered brain damage
Eminem recently sat down with his manager, Paul Rosenberg, for an episode of his Paul Pod podcast that launched on Thursday, September 8.
During the interview, the rap star opened up about his battle with addiction that nearly caused him brain damage.
He said: ‘It took a long time for my brain to start working again.’
Additionally, Rosenberg mentioned that he was concerned that Eminem might not survive his overdose in 2007.
He stated: ‘I mean, you were literally coming off an overdose and they had to stabilize you on some meds. And some of them took you a minute to adjust to, let’s leave it at that.
Rosenberg then asked: ‘So you’re learning to rap again, almost literally, right? Because it’s the first time you create without substances in your body in many years, right?’
Additionally, Slim Shady said that Rosenberg was concerned that the rapper might have brain damage.
He recalled: ‘Didn’t you ask the doctors, when I started rapping again and sent it to you, didn’t you say, “I just want to make sure he doesn’t have brain damage”?’
Rosenberg replied: ‘I thought you might have some permanent problems. Yeah, I was worried, sure.
He further added, “I was so happy you weren’t brain damaged…permanently disabled from ever rapping again.”
