Eminem and Snoop Dogg Beef explained when the rappers ended their feud after Dr. Dre’s brain aneurysm

Eminem and Snoop Dogg have Dr. Dre’s 2021 health scare to thank for helping them fix their relationship. The rappers, who first collaborated more than twenty years earlier, had simmering issues that came to a head in 2020, when public comments by Snoop Dogg, 50, offending Eminem, 49, led to the star to criticize Snopp Dogg in his lyrics. Regardless, when 57-year-old Dr. Dre suffered a brain aneurysm in January 2021 and spent two weeks in intensive care, hip-hop stars were moved to put the past behind them.

Snoop and I had our little problem and then when Dre, when that happened with Dre, the brain aneurysm thing… Eminem told his long-term manager, Paul Rosenberg, on SiriusXM’s Paul Pod: Curtain Call 2. We said , brother, this is nonsense. . This is stupid as hell to be fighting right now. So I don’t remember if I called him or he called me, I don’t remember, but we worked it out. Eminem said that he believes any tension between the two can be attributed to a miscommunication about a potential collaboration.

What is a cerebral aneurysm?

A brain aneurysm is a weak spot in the wall of a vein within the brain that, in some cases, can burst and cause a subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). Think of a weak point in a balloon and how it feels loose and thin. A brain aneurysm is like that. That region of the vein is depleted by the constant progression of blood and forms clumps, practically like an air pocket. It can develop to the size of a small berry.

Although brain aneurysms sound disturbing, most do not cause side effects or medical problems. You can enjoy a long life without it without ever realizing that you have one. Regardless, in rare cases, aneurysms can develop a large leak or burst. Bleeding in the brain, known as a hemorrhagic stroke, is serious and will need immediate medical attention.

Dr. Dre’s brain aneurysm prompted Eminem and Snoop Dogg to get over their feud

Speaking with his manager Paul Rosenberg, Eminem revealed that Dr. Dre’s brain aneurysm prompted his reconciliation with Snoop Dogg. You know, Snoop and I had our little problem, and then when that thing happened with Dre, the brain aneurysm thing, we were like, ‘Brother, this is stupid,’ Eminem explained to Rosenberg. The pair started having issues shortly after Snoop recommended that Eminem not be on his top 10 rappers list, however, they generally kept it under wraps. However, that’s not what started the feud, which they finally decided to get over after Dre’s aneurysm in mid-2021.

This is stupid as hell to fight right now so I don’t remember if I called him or he called me, Eminem continued. We worked it out though, and I feel like there was a miscommunication at the time regarding him being on my album The [Marshall] Mathers LP, [on] bitch please II. I think he had wanted to accomplish something with me and maybe he gave you the idea or something, and you said something to shock, well, let’s hear what the song is first. … I think he said that the way he took it was similar to, I don’t fuck with it.

Rosenberg said he doesn’t exactly remember the terms, but repeated that it was a miscommunication that occurred when Snoop approached them about the opportunity to collaborate. Whatever I said or anyone else said, I don’t think for a moment that I said it to him, Rosenberg added. I don’t remember talking to him yet. He may have talked to someone in his group, and everything I said was conveyed to him in such a way that he didn’t like it.
