She recalled: ‘When I was going through a divorce and moved from Los Angeles to New York and changed careers, a lot of things accumulated. My daughters and I used to sing “Roar” and that was our song to make us feel like we weren’t lost or displaced. So to be able to thank Katy Perry for that was a great gift.
