Delhi gov’t imposes nightly curfew amid rising coronavirus cases

Covid restriction in the national capital, night curfew starts in Delhi from tonight from 10pm to 5am full curfew except for essential services till 30th April. The government takes action after we see a high number of cases every day. More than 28,000 cases in the city in the last 10 days, which is why Delhi has imposed a nightly curfew from 10pm to 5am every day. In the last 24 hours, 3,548 cases of the COVID-19 virus and 15 deaths were reported on Monday. There will be a heavy restriction on movement in Delhi except for essential services. At the central and state level, the government will address a very strong and significant rise in coronavirus cases across the country, particularly in Delhi, where more than 4,000 cases per day have been seen.

He said that the national capital is hit by the 4th wave of COVID-19, confinement will not be imposed. “Based on the current situation, we are not considering imposing a lockdown. We are closely monitoring the situation and such a decision will only be made after due public consultation,” Kejriwal told the PTI news agency.
