So, at the age of 91, supervising animator David H. DePatie dies of natural circumstances on September 23. DePatie and his colleague Friz Freleng founded DePatie Freleng Productions. That is very popular for the cartoon show “Pink Panther”.
In fact, David H. DePatie was an Associate Producer at Marvel Studios and the final supervisor at the helm of the initial Warner Bros. Comics animation studio. David H. DePatie Freleng Productions was approached by filmmaker Blake Edwards. And he requested to again develop a panther as a mascot for the movie “The Pink Panther”.
