Clayton Echard and Susie Evans have split

Former Bachelor Star Clayton Echard has reportedly called it quits on his Season 26 winner Susie Evans. Susie Evans, 29, and Clayton Echard, also 29, declared their separation with a joint statement on Instagram on Friday. With unimaginably heavy hearts we wanted to share that we have chosen to go in a different direction, they captioned an image of the former couple laughing together. For anyone who has ever loved realizes that this was an excruciating decision and not one that was made lightly.

Susie Evans and Clayton Echard didn’t go into detail about what caused the split, but noted that social media is just a “highlight reel” and that they’d been through a lot of pain the year before. We realize that no strong relationship comes without its struggles, however we have come to understand that we were not prepared for the outside forces that altered our ability to heal as individuals and as a couple that they added.
