Chris Chan’s case will be examined by the Grand Jury

Online sources claim that a grand jury will hear Chris Chan’s case. A Reddit user announced today that the vlogger’s case “had been cleared for a grand jury,” according to a confirmation he received from a paralegal. There is no evidence on the Internet of a formal announcement of it. Online users, however, think the reports about the YouTuber’s potential trial are accurate.

Christine Weston Chandler, also known as Chris Chan, was arrested in Richmond, Virginia, in August. Following revelations of cases in which she had sexual relations with her 79-year-old mother who suffered from dementia, the author was held without bail. The internet celebrity admitted to having sex with her mother “every three nights” during a phone conversation.

In a recorded phone call, Chandler alleged that his mother “made the first move” and was “somewhat taken aback” by the act itself. She also claimed that she “took a few tries” to get it right.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office, which stated in a Facebook post that the vlogger was charged with felony incest, confirmed Chris Chan’s arrest. It is not yet known if Chandler has been charged with further crimes.

Reddit user u/pt924 recently shared a conversation he had with a paralegal asking about Chris Chan’s hearing status. In the post, the Reddit member stated:

“The case has been approved for a Grand Jury,” he said. Okay everyone. Chris-chan will be judged.

The platform user stated that he fully understands that other online users would not believe him. “This is what I got when I called,” though.

SmokeyMcC, a YouTuber, also uploaded an audio clip of a conversation with a paralegal today in a video titled Chris Chan Is Going To Trial – The Prison Saga. The clerk also stated that Chandler’s case is “Grand Jury certified.”

What is the Grand Jury? All the details about the possible trial of Chris Chan

A grand jury, according to Merriam-Webster, examines the evidence gathered against a suspect in a criminal case. After reviewing the evidence, they file formal charges against the accused if appropriate, and are subsequently tried. A grand jury is described on the website as:

“A jury that examines the accusations against persons accused of a crime and, if the evidence warrants, formulates formal charges for which the accused persons are subsequently tried.”

Despite reviewing the evidence presented against the alleged criminal, the grand jury does not ultimately determine the nature of the alleged crime or the criminal. Your only responsibility is to decide if a person can be charged at the beginning of the case.

The Grand Jury has the authority to compel witnesses and obtain any relevant information.

At the time this story was written, neither the number nor the identities of the jurors in the Chandler case were known. The grand jury deliberations were not recorded for public viewing, nor was this information released.
