Actress Anne Heche was involved in a car accident that engulfed her car in flames and left her ‘badly burned’ and ‘intubated’ in hospital.

Anne Heche was driving her blue Mini Cooper down a suburban street when she crashed into the garage of an apartment complex. The incident took place around noon in Los Angeles.

Bystanders reportedly tried to help the Vanished star, but she backed down and left. However, shortly after she crashed into another house which caused a serious fire.

Also, rescuers pulled Heche out of the rubble. They also tried to get out of her stretcher, according to aerial images obtained by the media.

Although he was reported to be in critical condition, he is expected to live.

Meanwhile, it appears the 53-year-old actress was under the influence of alcohol when she crashed into a house.

Additionally, the media site mentioned, “His condition prevents doctors from running tests to determine if he was driving under the influence of alcohol.”

However, the Los Angeles Police Department has yet to accept or deny the reports.

Anne Heche’s Substance Abuse Story

Anne Heche has spoken publicly about her struggles with substance abuse following her high-profile romance with Ellen DeGeneres in the ’90s.

Heche also claimed that she turned to alcohol and drugs to cope with her childhood trauma of being sexually abused by her father, Donald Heche.

The Six Days Seven Nights actress also mentioned at the time: ‘I’m not crazy. But it’s a crazy life. I grew up in a crazy family and it took me 31 years to get the crazy out of me.

Heche lost her brother Nate Heche in a car accident in 2018. Nate was reportedly sexually abused by his father.

Also, Heche’s older sister, Susan, died in 2006 after her battle with brain cancer. Her other sister Cynthia reportedly passed away in infancy.

Regardless, he has a surviving sister named Abigail. Her mother walked away from her brothers and from her decades ago.

Meanwhile, she was married to cameraman Coleman Laffoon from 2001 to 2009 and dated actor James Tupper from 2007 to 2018.
